Research Interests

My main interests lie in the structural and geophysical evolution and astrobiological potential of ocean worlds within the Solar System. My goal is to create an interdisciplinary research group with students with diverse backgrounds and interests to answer complex questions about the evolution of ocean worlds. My expertise is in remote sensing and numerical modeling as it relates to Earth and Planetary Science. In pursing these interests, I have focused on the oceans, lithospheres, and surface of planetary bodies. The surfaces of planetary bodies record their structural and tectonic histories, the styles of which are often controlled by heat flow. It is possible to probe this relationship, and planetary tectonic deformation more generally, through numerical modeling.
